About Well Farm Cottages-Self-Catering and Short Lets

Well Farm is situated in Wick Street, a hamlet in the Cotswold Hills along the old main road between Stroud and Painswick, now a quiet single track lane.  The beautiful village of Painswick gives easy access to the Cathedral City of Gloucester and the fashionable Spa town of Cheltenham.

Well Farm has been providing a base for holidays for couples and families for over 20 years, and short lets also since 2007.  It is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds and the Vale of Severn.

There are three cottages. Home Cottage sleeps two adults or two adults and a baby. Plough Cottage sleeps two or two and a baby, and Pippins sleeps up to four adults in two bedrooms or two adults and two children plus a baby.  Plough and Pippins can be joined together by opening up a door under the deck which gives a covered passage between the two cottages for larger family holidays.

For those who enjoy walking, Well Farm is just under a mile from the Cotswold Way (a National Trail) and an abundance of other footpath walks are close by. For those wishing to explore further afield, both the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley are well worthy of a day’s outing.

Cyclists will find a range of good cycle routes.  There is a cycle path which runs between Stonehouse and Nailsworth and passes through Stroud.

Well Farm is no longer a working farm but there are usually pigs and cows in the field opposite.  There is an abundance of wildlife and particularly songbirds and game birds.
